Portrait of my favourite model / Actress, Claire Blanchford. An opportunistic shot. She was very shy, just started out in acting with auditions lined up in Broadway and movies, she needed a good portfolio with lots of facial expressions, and I was the photographer of choice for her. I needed to get her out of shell, so I said “there’s a spider on your shoulder, don’t move”, she froze for a moment which gave me some quick shots and then when she realised there is not spider, I got the angry face, for a moment, then we laughed so hard we had to take a coffee break.

Model and actress Claire Blanchford, this is the “spider on your shoulder…” moment when she froze in horror for a few seconds. Obviously, she jumped away from that location and refused to go there again, but I got the expression I wanted.

A boundary wall of the famed Shiva Temple complex at Gopeswar, deep in the Himalayas in Northern India. The complex is believed to be over 5, 000 years old, it withstood many natural disasters including earthquakes of magnitude of 8 Richter scale. The uniqueness of this structure is that they soaked tree bark in water until they are soft and then use those in place of mortar. Over time the bark fossilised to blend perfectly into one solid stone wall.

Actress Kim Catterall and presenter Davina McCall, in London, Davina was a little late for the Sex and the City premiere and she can be seen rushing to the venue. I was covering the event freelance for the Empire Magazine.

A light trail photography taken by the Thames River at night. I set the tripod up on Southwark Bridge and took my time in the cold. It is kind of peaceful at that time.
